Belgium this week!

My class (Psychology of Human Sexuality) flew to Brussels on Monday and we’re going back to CPH on Friday. I probably won’t post pictures until this weekend but I can’t wait to!

Brussels is really beautiful. The buildings are breathtaking, and the chocolate and waffles really live up to the hype.

Monday we went on a walking tour of Brussels. Then we visited ILGA (International Lesbian & Gay Association), which works with the UN and with individual countries on implementing LGBT-friendly policy. Then we had dinner at a mussels place (I had salad) and I tried a beer but then I remembered that I hate beer, so I barely drank any of it.

Yesterday we visited a chocolate factory and made chocolate lollies. Then we visited SENSOA, an organization that advocates for sexual education and provides discussion groups about sexuality for migrants. At night we went to a bar called Delirium which is famous for having two kinds of beer. I had one called a Pink Killer, which was pretty good because it didn’t taste much like beer.

Today we visited the Magritte museum, and then met with two members of Sexaholics Anonymous who talked about their experiences. It was pretty intense but a great experience.

Tomorrow we’re meeting with a sex therapist, and Friday we’re meeting with a professor of sexuality who will talk about paraphilia.

So far it’s been a really amazing trip!

A parade of people who were apparently trying to get One Direction to come to Denmark. They were singing, too…
